There are some weddings that feel especially meaningful to photograph—and this was one of them. Jade and I grew up together, so to capture her wedding day at Whitewood Ranch—after she had found someone so clearly right for her—felt incredibly full circle. And from start to finish, it was a day that reflected them perfectly. Thoughtful, elevated, and completely joyful.
A Perfect Spring Wedding Day in Central Florida
Jade and Sully chose to get married in April—arguably one of the most beautiful times of year at Whitewood Ranch. The weather was exactly what you hope for. Clear skies, soft light, and that ideal balance of warmth and breeze that allows the entire day to unfold comfortably outdoors. Because this was before the chapel was completed, the wedding leaned fully into the natural setting of the property—ceremony, portraits, and moments woven throughout the landscape.
Designer Details with a Natural, Colorful Touch
Every detail of Jade’s wedding felt intentional. She brought in elevated, designer elements—refined, clean, and timeless—but paired them with wildflower-inspired florals that added movement and color throughout the day. The combination grounded the entire design. Nothing felt overly styled or disconnected from the setting. Instead, it felt like a natural extension of Whitewood Ranch itself—elevated, but still relaxed.
An Outdoor Ceremony Rooted in the Landscape
With the ceremony taking place outdoors, the property became the backdrop in its purest form. Open air, soft light, and guests fully immersed in the space. It’s one of the things that makes weddings at Whitewood Ranch so special—when you allow the setting to lead, everything else falls into place naturally.
Portraits That Felt Effortless
This gallery holds some of my favorite imagery. Part of that comes from the light and the setting—but more than anything, it comes from the way the day unfolded. There was no rush.
No pressure. Just time to move through the property, take in each moment, and create portraits that felt natural and connected. From wide, landscape-driven images to more intimate, editorial frames, the variety across the property allowed us to build a gallery that feels both expansive and personal.
A Reception That Turned Into a Celebration
As the sun set, the reception space filled with energy. Jade and Sully’s guests came ready to celebrate—and they did. From the first moments of the evening through the final songs, the dance floor stayed full, the atmosphere stayed high, and the entire night felt like an extension of who they are. Relaxed, fun, and completely present.
Planning Your Own Whitewood Ranch Wedding
If you're planning a wedding at Whitewood Ranch, I always recommend leaning into both the setting and the season. Spring weddings, like Jade and Sully’s, offer some of the most comfortable weather and natural beauty—but the property works beautifully year-round when you build the day around it.
